A Must-Read for Shopify Beginners: A Guide to Using Covet Pics for Instagram Integration

In this article, we'll show you how to use Covet Pics, a Shopify app for integrating Instagram posts into your store.

There are several apps available for displaying Instagram posts in your store, but we frequently use Covet Pics because of its flexibility and ease of use in the details that matter.

In this guide, we'll cover how to use the following features:

  • Gallery
  • Product Gallery
  • Analytics

There's a free plan available, so we encourage you to give it a try.

StoreHero leverages a proprietary growth platform to help merchants achieve the granular operations and high-volume campaign execution that manual management simply cannot handle.

Gallery

The Gallery feature lets you display posts from your own Instagram account, posts with specific hashtags, or manually uploaded images directly on your Shopify store.

First, connect Covet Pics to the Facebook account that manages your Instagram business account. Note that Facebook connections can sometimes become disconnected due to Facebook-side issues, so please reconnect if that happens.

Once connected, posts from the linked Instagram account will be synced.

Select (Approve) the posts you want to display on your store.

By editing a post, you can link it to products or specific URLs, creating a path from the post to a product page or any page of your choice. Unlike some other apps where the link destination is limited to Instagram, Covet Pics lets you direct visitors to product pages within your store, helping to increase conversion rates.

Under Customize Gallery, you can configure the appearance of your gallery. You can also choose to hide the Covet Pics logo.

The Embed Website option within Customize Gallery generates the embed code you need to add to your store.

There are three types of embed codes: one for the Shopify homepage, one for pages under /pages, and one for other websites. Copy the appropriate code and place it in the desired location.

That completes the setup. After configuration, new posts will be synced on a regular basis, so be sure to review and approve incoming posts periodically.

Product Gallery

On paid plans, you have access to the Product Gallery feature. Rather than creating a separate gallery for each product, you can add a common tag to product detail pages to automatically display Instagram posts related to each product.

From the posts associated with a hashtag, you can link relevant posts to individual products from the admin dashboard.

This is especially convenient when you have a large number of products, as a single gallery widget can handle all of them.

Analytics

On paid plans, you also get access to the Analytics feature. This lets you track engagement trends for posts displayed in your store and identify your most popular posts.

Covet Pics is continuously being updated, so we recommend checking the official help center regularly to stay on top of the latest features and take full advantage of new functionality.
