StoreHero Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the conditions of use for services (the "Services") provided by StoreHero, Inc. (the "Company"). Users agree to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms shall apply to all relationships between users and the Company regarding the use of the Services. The Company may establish various rules and regulations (the "Individual Provisions") in addition to these Terms regarding the use of the Services. These Individual Provisions shall constitute a part of these Terms regardless of their titles.

Article 2 (Registration)

Registration for the Services shall be completed when the applicant agrees to these Terms, applies for registration in the manner prescribed by the Company, and the Company approves the application.

Article 3 (Prohibited Activities)

Users shall not engage in the following activities when using the Services:

  • Activities that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Activities related to criminal acts
  • Activities that infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights contained in the Services
  • Activities that destroy or interfere with the server or network functions of the Company, other users, or third parties
  • Commercial use of information obtained through the Services
  • Activities that may interfere with the operation of the Company's services
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Collecting or accumulating personal information about other users
  • Using the Services for improper purposes
  • Activities that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other users or third parties
  • Providing benefits directly or indirectly to antisocial forces in connection with the Company's services
  • Other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 4 (Suspension of Services)

The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Services without prior notice to users if it determines that any of the following reasons exist:

  • When performing maintenance or updates to the computer system for the Services
  • When provision of the Services becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
  • When computers or communication lines are stopped due to accidents
  • Other cases where the Company determines that provision of the Services is difficult

The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantages or damages incurred by users or third parties due to suspension or interruption of the Services.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

The Company shall be exempt from liability for breach of obligation unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence. The Company shall not be liable for any transactions, communications, or disputes arising between users and other users or third parties in relation to the Services.

Article 6 (Changes to Services)

The Company may change, add, or discontinue the content of the Services with prior notice to users, and users agree to this.

Article 7 (Changes to Terms)

The Company may change these Terms without individual consent from users in the following cases:

  • When the changes to these Terms are in the general interest of users
  • When the changes to these Terms do not conflict with the purpose of the service agreement, and are reasonable in light of the necessity of the changes, appropriateness of the changed content, and other circumstances

When changing these Terms, the Company will publicize or notify users of the effective date and content of the changed Terms by posting on the Company website or other appropriate means.

Article 8 (Handling of Personal Information)

The Company will handle personal information obtained through use of the Services appropriately in accordance with our "Privacy Policy."

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in relation to the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office.


ReadyAlertHero Specific Provisions

The following are additional provisions applicable to the Shopify app "ReadyAlertHero" (the "App") provided by the Company. By installing the App, merchants are deemed to have agreed to the general provisions above and the following specific provisions.

1. App Service Description

The App provides the following features for Shopify stores:

  • Registration for back-in-stock notifications for out-of-stock products, and triggering Shopify Flow when inventory is restored
  • Registration for launch notifications for pre-release products, and triggering Shopify Flow when the release date arrives
  • Display of notification delivery reports

2. Handling of Personal Data (Data Processing)

The App processes personal data of customers of the user's Shopify store within the scope of the user's instructions. The Company acts as a processor and the user acts as a controller, in accordance with the following:

  • Data processed: Shopify customer ID, product ID / variant ID, notification type, delivery history, email marketing consent status. We do not store direct identifiers such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses.
  • Purpose of processing: Limited to providing the notification features of the App and generating delivery reports.
  • Third-party disclosure: The Company does not sell or provide processed personal data to external third parties.
  • Retention and deletion: Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Fees

App usage fees are as listed on the Shopify App Store. Billing is processed through Shopify's billing system (Billing API).
