[Hiring] Web Engineer Wanted for Shopify Solution Development

Hello! I'm Kurose, CEO of StoreHero.

StoreHero is now recruiting web engineers.

We are developing Shopify-focused solutions with the goal of creating the commerce standard for the next decade.

To serve over one million stores worldwide that use Shopify, we are advancing our solution development through overseas research trips and both domestic and international projects.

Recently, we decided to recruit development team members for a LIVE commerce solution built on Shopify.

After joining the team, we would like you to lead the development of LIVE commerce solutions as well as the commerce-oriented solutions we will be releasing going forward.

What is StoreHero?

StoreHero develops Shopify-focused solutions, provides Shopify consulting, and builds Shopify stores, all with the goal of creating the commerce standard for the next decade.

Founded in November 2019, we currently operate as a two-person team — Kurose and Sasatani — handling Shopify solution development, consulting, and store builds.

With an accumulating track record and expertise, we have decided to focus our efforts on developing LIVE commerce solutions for companies leveraging Shopify both domestically and internationally.

Shopify is a commerce platform used by over one million stores worldwide. We are building globally applicable solutions on top of that platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of a LIVE commerce solution for Shopify
• Implementation and deployment of the LIVE commerce solution

The primary responsibility is designing and developing the LIVE commerce solution on Shopify.

We are currently in the process of achieving PMF (Product-Market Fit) through trial and error with a prototype version, and we hope you will contribute to polishing it into a beta release and then a full official version.

Additionally, as we currently provide Shopify consulting services, we would like you to work alongside our consultants to deploy the solution for consulting clients.

Ideal Candidate

• Web engineers with experience developing and operating web services or SaaS products.
• Those who want to fully leverage their technical skills in a startup environment.
• Those with a strong interest in Shopify or commerce-related services.
• Those who want to build solutions used globally.

We are currently developing with Ruby on Rails, but since this is a prototype phase, we are open to changes in language or technology stack going forward — no strong attachment to any particular tools.

To compete globally, it is essential that engineering, marketing, and expertise in commerce and Shopify work in close alignment.

Future Direction

We will be developing products for global use, serving not only Japan but the over one million stores worldwide that leverage Shopify.
